You are about to embark upon the adventure of a lifetime!
Scouting opens the door of fun and adventure to you. Before you know
it, you will be finding yourself camping in the fabled Mt. Makiling,
hiking the trails of Mt. Apo, or simply enjoying a tour of a local museum.
Invigorate yourself with the refreshing scent of nature as you hike
along her trails, or see the big dipper and countless of stars above
you as you sleep under them and over sweet smelling grass. Enjoy hot
meals that you and your group of friends prepared over a camp stove,
or over a little fire that you made yourself.
You also get to meet new people along the way. People
you already know may join Scouting. You can form a patrol with people
you know. Get to meet Scouts from other troops and even Scouts from
other countries.

Learn new skills that can help you build up your character
and live in the outdoors. Learn how to use a compass or even find North
without a compass. Get to pitch up a tent that will serve as your home
during camps or overnight hikes. Learn to love and conserve the environment
around you through nature study and practice low-impact living. Soon,
you could become a Scoutmaster yourself, teaching Scouts these and other
Scout skills.
As
a Scout, you will also be given the chance to help your community, your
nation, and even the world. You will learn that even a small act of kindness
can have a huge impact on the lives of others around you.
Scouting prepares
you for responsibility so that people can rely on you in times when they
need you the most. Scouting gives you the opportunity to lead others.
With this experience you can become a good and responsible leader today
and contribute to a better future.
